Make a panel labelWhat we make
- Panel identification: panel name, voltage and system, and where it's fed from. For example PANEL L1 · 120/208V 3PH 4W · FED FROM MDP.
- Disconnect labels for rooftop units, pumps, EV chargers, water heaters and anything else with a disconnect.
- Source-of-supply labels for panels and switchboards fed from somewhere else in the building.
- Breaker, feeder and circuit tags in small sizes, down to 1/2" tall.
- Available fault current (AIC) labels: outside dwelling units, NEC 110.24 requires service equipment to be marked with the maximum available fault current and the date it was calculated. Make an AIC label.
- Main service disconnect labels (start one).
Why engraved instead of a label maker
NEC 110.22(A) requires each disconnecting means to be legibly marked to show its purpose, and outside one- and two-family dwellings NEC 408.4(B) requires feeder-supplied panels to be marked with where their power comes from. Engraved plastic stays legible: it doesn't fade, peel or smear the way printed tape and marker do in a hot electrical room.
